Summary

You can see all of the animals in this book if you visit different parts of Ethiopia. People are sometimes surprised to learn that many camels live and work in Ethiopia. About two million of them carry loads including blocks of salt from mines in the Danakil Depression, often described as the hottest place on Earth--a low spot that was formed as the continents of Africa and Asia separated. This is also the area of Ethiopia where the famous fossil, Lucy (or Dinkinesh, which means "you are marvelous" in the Amharic language) was discovered.
