and people. Some are visible to everyone and some are almost invisible. Ethiopian wolves, for example, are something not many people will see in their life time. Here is one account by a person who went looking for them: https://adventure.com/wolves-ethiopia-bale-mountains Donkeys, on the other hand, are everywhere in Ethiopia, doing a lot of the hard work that needs to be done every day. Author Jane Kurtz says, "I’ve seen lots of donkeys in cities and in the countryside, carrying things that seem too heavy for them. Also, when I was a child in Maji, our family depended on mules to go up and down the mountain (a two-day trip) to bring back bags of mail and other supplies from the Ethiopian Airlines airplanes that would land down in the flat, grassy part of Ethiopia where giraffes roamed. I’ve taken that trip with the help of mules, myself. I’ve eaten lots of injera and sat through many coffee ceremonies and played under eucalyptus and acacia trees. But I’ve never seen an Ethiopian wolf or a bat-eared fox or a rock hydrax (which many people call a 'dassie') or an Abyssinian owl. Seeing them in books is probably the closest I will get to those amazing parts of Ethiopia."
